Great character and leadership is inherited from those who demonstrate it to us. If you think about the people in your life who are great leaders or mentors, it is often not because of the things they say, but the things they do.
Here’s a quick assignment for you and your students this week:
Write down the name of the best leader you know or that you admire. It can be someone in class, in school, from your family, or even a public figure or celebrity.
Then, write down 5 ways that their leadership and character far surpasses anyone else. Once you’ve done that, count how many ways were actions vs how many were words or thoughts. Is it true that actions speak louder than words?
Have a great week!
